(teleworking) is a form of work which is done either partly or entirely at home
or at some other location chosen by the employee.
An alternative expression for this is ework, a reference to the wider use of IT and communications technology in work. The expressions ’decentralised’ or ’mobile’ work are also used.
Ework is a chance to improve productivity and the quality of working life, harmonise work with family life, and cope with work better generally. It also allows you to be more flexible as regards where you work and where you live and leads to savings in commuting costs and time.
