Agreements on Industrial Participation

Administration of industrial participation

Agreements on Industrial Participation are based on defence procurement. In these agreements  cooperation between the Finnish defence industry and a foreign supplier is emphasised. Responsibility for the administration of industrial participation is governed by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy and the Finnish Committee on Industrial Participation (FCIP) under the Ministry. The contracting party in industrial participation agreements associated with a procurement contract is the Finnish Ministry of Defence.

The Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Participation is Master of Laws Eero Lavonen. Practical arrangements for the FCIP meetings and the preparation of matters relevant to the IP administration are handled by the Committee's Secretariat working in the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. The members of the FCIP, which meets some six times a year, represent the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Employment and the Economy.
