Finnvera, Tekes and ELY Centres begin exchanging customer information
The public business service providers Finnvera, Tekes and ELY Centres have begun exchanging customer information with each other. The purpose of this is to improve, speed up and standardise customer service provided for enterprises, while reducing the amount of overlapping work performed in various organisations.
The amended act on customer information systems in business services (Laki yrityspalvelujen asiakastietojärjestelmästä) entered into force on 15 December 2010. It facilitates more extensive cooperation in sharing customer information between public financiers and other public operators.
Exchange of information between Finnvera, Tekes and ELY Centres concerns strictly limited customer data only, and is conducted via an electronic system devised for the purpose. Among other issues, information exchanged relates to contact persons, the customer’s service history, support granted, financing, risk classification and adjusted financial statement data.
All information exchange is based on confidentiality and secrecy. Every recipient of information is covered by banking secrecy with respect to any information received from Finnvera.
Tekes, Finnvera and ELY Centres form part of the MEE Corporate, comprising the Ministry of Employment and the Economy (MEE) and the over 30 organisations under its remit.
